Steps to Obtain Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Adi Kailash Yatra

Step 1: Registration

Visit the official Pithoragarh District Website or ILP Registration Portal. Fill in personal details, travel dates, and emergency contacts.

Medical Certificate Format

Travelers are required to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner to confirm their fitness for high-altitude travel.

Affidavit Format

An affidavit stating that the journey is undertaken at one's own risk, and all government rules will be followed, is mandatory for obtaining the Inner Line Permit (ILP).

Step 2: Document Upload

Upload scanned copies of a valid Government Photo ID (Aadhar/Passport/Voter ID) and a passport-sized photograph. Foreign nationals may require additional documents.

Step 3: Payment

Pay the nominal ILP processing fee online through the portal. Keep the payment receipt safe as it must be shown at checkpoints.

Step 4: Verification and Approval

Authorities will verify the documents. Approval usually takes 24–48 hours. Track the application status on the portal using your application number.

Step 5: Print and Carry Permit

Once approved, download and print your ILP. Carry at least 2–3 printed copies, as they are checked at multiple army and police checkpoints.
